Hospital Indemnity Insurance

We’re excited to welcome The Hartford to manage our Hospital Cash Benefits, effective January 1. Please note that while your plan name is changing from Hospital Indemnity Insurance to Hospital Cash Benefits, coverage is staying the same.

Coming soon: Your 2026 Annual Enrollment Guide. You can review the details on the transition and what to expect prior to January 1.

The vendor name and contact information on this page are specific to 2025 coverage. While your Hospital Indemnity Insurance vendor and plan name is changing, you’ll continue to have access to the exact same coverage.

Expenses associated with a hospital stay can be burdensome if money is tight and you are not prepared. Hospital Indemnity insurance, from Allstate Benefits®, can help you worry less. This coverage pays a lump-sum benefit if you or a covered member of your family is hospitalized. Payments are made directly to you, not your healthcare provider, to help you pay for out-of-pocket costs, such as health insurance deductibles and copayments—or for anything that you see fit.

For more information, refer to the following publications:

If you have any questions, call the Customer Care Center at 1-800-521-3535, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET.

To enroll, go to Benefits4MeEnroll.com. Note that you may only elect this coverage during the Annual Enrollment period, as a new hire, or following a Qualifying Life Event.

IMPORTANT: This is a fixed indemnity policy, NOT health insurance

This fixed indemnity policy may pay you a limited dollar amount if you’re

sick or hospitalized. You’re still responsible for paying the cost of your care.

  • The payment you get isn’t based on the size of your medical bill.
  • There might be a limit on how much this policy will pay each year.
  • This policy isn’t a substitute for comprehensive health insurance.
  • Since this policy isn’t health insurance, it doesn’t have to include most federal consumer protections that apply to health insurance.
